Greek Mobile Operator Cosmote Selects the New Schlumberger Customer Care and Billing Solution - BSCS

Greek mobile operator Cosmote Telecommunications has selected the latest version of SchlumbergerSema billing and customer care solution, BSCS, to support new innovative services for its customers.

Schlumberger is providing the consulting and systems integration expertise to implement BSCS 8 into the existing infrastructure. This is the first implementation project for BSCS 8, a fully convergent customer care and billing solution that has been designed to enable operators to gain competitive advantage and maximize their 3G investment. It delivers end-to-end content charging from the network and application interaction through to the billing and partner settlement across all mobile, fixed and IP networks. With its enhanced functionality BSCS 8 enables the operator to market the same products to both prepaid and postpaid customers, and to update and introduce new services in minimum time. Moreover, it allows online transactions for all subscribers, providing real-time balance management so that transactions can be authorized against account balances and discounts and alerts can be activated for enhanced cost control.
