Monday 20 September 2004 23:23 CET | News

Genpass together with its partners Ventus Networks and Lipman USA, have announced the availability of its next generation wireless ATM service, Genpass Wireless.

Genpass Wireless uses Ventus Networks CDMA technology, the latest in wireless digital data services, to allow ATMs to process transactions without traditional telephone line connections. Genpass Wireless can support Lipman ATMs configured for dial-up or TCP/IP communications. The first ATM to be certified on the new service was the Nurit 6000 manufactured by Lipman. This is another example of Lipmans leadership in delivering high quality, cost effective solutions for ATM deployers. Wireless Service is the next step in cost effectiveness for ATMs, said Randall Wheeler, EVP of Sales and Marketing for Lipman USA. The companies expect the wireless service to be a popular alternative to dial-up for many off-premise deployments and to lease-line for many financial institution ATMs.
