Fiserv certifies GRG for ATM transaction processing in Canada

Tuesday 13 August 2013 11:09 CET | News

Financial services technology company Fiserv has certified GRG International ATMs for the Canadian market, enabling Canadian FIs, retailers and ISOs to process transactions at GRG EMV-compliant ATMs through POSHnet.

POSHnet is a Canadian network gateway switching service that joined the Fiserv payments portfolio through the acquisition of Open Solutions, a provider of core account processing technology for financial institutions, in January 2013.

GRG International offers GRG Banking Equipment ATMs, management software and related services in the US, UK, Ireland, Australia, South Africa, India and Mexico. Certification from Fiserv expands the list to include Canada.

Before the company could introduce its ATMs into the new market, GRG needed to certify the machines with a Canadian processor for use on Interac, Visa and MasterCard payment networks.

In recent news, US-based financial services provider Kearny Federal Savings Bank has selected Fiserv for its Premier bank platform for account processing, along with its services for mobile banking, person-to-person payments, cheque capture, online banking and bill payments.
