Evans Appointed to Diebold Board of Directors

Eric C. Evans, who was recently named Diebolds president and chief operating officer, has been elected to its Board of Directors.Evans, 51, joined Diebold from Emerson, where he served as Emerson group vice president for Emerson Climate Technologies Air Conditioning. Prior to Emerson, Evans was founder and president of Evans Company, a management consulting practice specializing in international business strategy. Before founding Evans Company, he also worked at Bain and Company, a leading management consultant firm. Evans holds a bachelor of arts degree in East Asian Studies from Harvard College, a juris doctor from Harvard Law School and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. With the addition of Evans, the board increased its number of directors from 11 to 12.
