Evans, 51, joined Diebold from Emerson, where he served as Emerson group vice president for Emerson Climate Technologies Air Conditioning. Prior to Emerson, Evans was founder and president of Evans Company, a management consulting practice specializing in international business strategy. Before founding Evans Company, he also worked at Bain and Company, a leading management consultant firm. Evans holds a bachelor of arts degree in East Asian Studies from Harvard College, a juris doctor from Harvard Law School and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. With the addition of Evans, the board increased its number of directors from 11 to 12.
