Equifax has unveiled the latest in a series of programs to help consumers arm themselves against identity theft. Through its Equifax Credit Watch Family Program, the company will provide families with Equifax Credit Watch Gold at discounted rates.

A credit monitoring service that alerts consumers to credit file changes indicating possible identity theft, Equifax Credit Watch Gold is also now available for a free 30-day trial. The family program allows adults with credit to sign up their parents, siblings and credit holding children for Equifax Credit Watch Gold. Equifax Credit Watch Golds benefits include alerts to subscribers within 24 hours of possible fraud, $20,000 in identity theft insurance, unlimited access to Equifax Credit Reports and victim assistance programs that include online dispute resolution and private consultation with identity theft specialists.
