Eiger Systems has announced that EigerPAY Gateway, the companys software solution for BACSTEL-IP, is the first to be approved by BACS for both use with HSM devices and for use by bureau submitters. The announcement means that for the first time secure, unattended, BACS payment submissions are now possible, paving the way for high volume submitters and bureaux to begin their BACSTEL-IP migration strategies in earnest. BACSTEL-IP is the new payment submission platform that replaces the BACSTEL service on 31st December 2005. All organisations that submit Direct Debits and Direct Credits to BACS must migrate to BACSTEL-IP by this deadline. For bureau submitters, whether internal or commercial bureaux, EigerPAY Gateway is also the first BACSTEL-IP solution to be approved opening the way for bureaux to begin their software evaluation programs in earnest.
