The Dell Japan Enterprise Command Center, like its counterparts in the United States, China and Europe, will provide high-level, around-the-clock-support1 for server and storage customers in the region.

The Enterprise Command Center concept is based on best practices of crisis management centers and provides real-time tracking of customer issues, technicians and service parts. The opening of the ECC in Japan enables our technical experts to address critical situations and the biggest pain point for customers which is downtime, said Jan Uhrich, vice president of Dells enterprise services. Dell customers benefit as technical experts use sophisticated planning, tracking and management tools to keep systems up and running. The ECC helps us work around obstacles that traditionally cause service delays. The centers help provide business customers better and timelier integration of service delivery than previously available. By managing field and logistics real-time and proactively monitoring weather and traffic patterns, teams of trained problem solvers make service delivery more consistent, accurate and efficient. Dell opened ECCs in China and Ireland in 2004 to support customers in those regions. Dells United States ECC opened in 2003.
