NCR is providing staging, installation and maintenance services for the solution, which includes NCR peripherals and NCR Retail Systems Manager software, designed to monitor and diagnose POS technology issues remotely. Introduced in 2002, the compact, yet powerful, NCR RealPOS 80c terminal has been installed at nearly 100,000 checkout stations worldwide. NCR is a global leader in retail bar-code scanning, with a complete range of scanners to fit the needs of virtually every store and budget. Rollout of the solution is scheduled to begin in August 2004, with completion planned for December 2005.
