ClearPass has signed a marketing alliance agreement with VivaMicro, San Diego based provider of wireless video systems for law enforcement agencies and first responders.

VivaMicros first wireless security product was funded by the US Department of Defense Center for Commercialization of Advanced Technology (CCAT). VivaMicro already serves several corporate and law enforcement clients within the security industry with its Wireless VisionTM system that sends live video from an incident scene to laptops, PDAs and cellular phones. This product allows federal, state and local security personnel low-cost and easy ways to monitor crisis locations by transmitting, receiving and reviewing images from any location with cellular phone service. As a force multiplier, VivaMicro recently offered San Diego Police Department (SDPD) use of their Wireless Visionâ„¢ system during XXXVIII Super Bowl week. This product assists users by putting eyes on the street without adding personnel, installing expensive CCTV cabling, or purchasing high cost specialized transmission equipment. ClearPass Systems is exploring VivaMircos wireless technology for the software development of its next generation fingerprint kiosk product that will allow security personnel to track and share intelligence data wirelessly.
