Citi launches QuickRemit cross-border payments service

American financial services company Citi launches QuickRemit remittance platform with distribution and foreign exchange capabilities covering over 90 countries. QuickRemit enables banks, corporations, and money transfer organisations to offer their customers and employees a service for international funds transfer. QuickRemit offers models for direct, on-line remittances and in-branch agent remittances. Citi adds the Quick Remit remittance service to its existent WorldLink cross-border payments service portofolio. The PayQuick team Joined Citi earlier this month.

QuickRemit was previously owned by PayQuick, a provider of money transfer services to banks, credit unions and money transfer organisations. PayQuick was puchased by Citi in January 2008.“The launch of QuickRemit demonstrates our continued commitment to be the leading provider of the full range of payment services,” said CEO of Citi’s Global Transaction Services business Paul Galant. “At Citi, we have offered global remittance solutions to our clients since 2006, and this launch will accelerate our growth in a strong and dynamic market in which we can provide significant value to our clients,” Galant added.
