Monday 14 March 2005 09:53 CET | News

Wincor Nixdorf and its affiliates will supply electronic point-of-sale software to ChevronTexaco Corporation’s branded service stations through a global agreement announced today.

The agreement has resulted in ChevronTexaco’s purchase of an Enterprise License Agreement (ELA) for the NAMOS compact software. NAMOS compact is Wincor Nixdorf’s software solution for service stations and is made up of three main components – the POS application, the Manager’s Workstation back-store component and the Wet Data Manager – an IFSF-compliant application which integrates and controls the entire forecourt. NAMOS compact’s open interface architecture enables customers to connect new back-office and also legacy systems via NACS XML standard interfaces. ChevronTexaco service stations operate under the Chevron or Texaco brands in the United States and Canada; the Texaco brand in Europe, Latin America, and West Africa; and the Caltex brand in Asia, the Middle East and East Africa, Central Africa and South Africa.
