Wednesday 17 March 2004 20:44 CET | News

The Sharing the Knowledge (STK) check processing conference, has broadened its focus to address the needs and challenges created by Check 21. The latest edition - Sharing The image Knowledge (STiK) - which takes place April 18 through 21 in San Antonio, will offer an expanded agenda encompassing all facets of check image processing.

The original event was created in 1997 as an open forum for item processing professionals to examine industry issues, share ideas and discuss solutions. The new agenda, set by the STiK committee, includes topics ranging from image capture to exchange and the need for better quality. The STiK Steering Committee that includes representatives from Bank of America, Wachovia, Fleet Bank, Bank One, SunTrust and the Federal Reserve Board governs the conference. The committee defines the content for STiK in order to assure attendees that they will learn pertinent information that is beneficial to their bank and applicable to their job. The conference is open to all financial institutions with an interest in Check 21 and item processing. Vendor attendance is by invitation only from the STiK Steering Committee. The conference will be held at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter Hotel. The opening reception begins at 7 p.m. on Sun, April 18, and the final session ends at 4:45 p.m. on Wed, April 21.
