BPC Banking Technologies, a provider of open system e-payment services for the global financial industry, has entered an agreement with Cambodia-based financial institution Hattha Kaksekar.

Under the terms of the deal, BPC will implement an in-house financial transaction switch for ATM, POS and mobile payments as well as a card management service with the installation of the SmartVista suite. With the new in-house payments processing system Hattha will be able to offer a biometric identification, enrollment and verification system in Cambodia. In addition, customers will be able to withdraw microloans at ATMs, get remote access to their accounts as well as making repayments against their microloans. Initially these new services will only be available through the ATM network but Hattha has revealed plans to offer the same capabilities via mobile devices.

SmartVista is a single integrated service developed by BPC Banking Technologies and used for transaction processing and card management. The company’s customer base includes retail banks across five continents. With more than 122 branches Hattha delivers a range of financial services across Cambodia, including loans and deposits.
