This award came as part of an EU-wide tendering process which Wincor Nixdorf succeeded in winning against its competitors. As well as the 1,300 terminals, the DKLB order also includes the Xicore terminal software. At the same time as introducing the new terminals, DKLB is also to install the Ximedia central editorial content management system. This server will feed the marketing displays connected to the new terminals with information and multimedia content. In addition, the content server can also be used to change advertising and promotional text printed on lottery tickets and to transmit up-to-date information to the cashier and customer displays. In order to enable fast, uncomplicated distribution of terminal software, DKLB decided on the tried-and-tested Xiload download server – also a Wincor Nixdorf solution.
