Bank of America Hires Tom Berkery as Global Corporate and Investment Banking Chief Operating Officer

Tom Berkery will join Bank of America in mid-June as Chief Operating Officer for Global Corporate and Investment Banking (GCIB). He will be based in New York and report to de Molina.

Berkery will be responsible for Equity Research, led by Susan Silverstein; Debt Research, led by David Goldman; and supervision and control issues, led by Charlie Williams, who will also maintain regulatory oversight for Global Securities Operations. Berkery will also be accountable for Strategic Investments, led by Bob Long; Public Finance, led by Bill Maxwell; and GCIB Strategy, led by Richard Morris. Berkery has 25 years of business advisory experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers. His principal area of expertise is with multi- national financial institutions, working with clients such as Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Chase Manhattan Bank and Barclays. He also worked with Bank of America, covering the GCIB businesses from the late 1990s through mid-2001. In addition to his client responsibilities, he was the managing partner for the firms New York Metro Region Assurance and Business Advisory practice which included 2,600 professionals. Berkery graduated magna cum laude from Le Moyne College and attended the Wharton School Advanced Management Program.
