American Red Cross partners Panini, FTNI for remote deposit capture service

Humanitarian organization American Red Cross has entered an agreement with Italy-based payment technology provider Panini and US-based receivables management solutions provider Financial Transmission Network (FTNI) to implement a remote deposit capture (RDC) service to assist in the processing of donations.

Under the agreement, Panini has been selected to provide hardware, service and support, while FTNI implemented their ETran software including integration with existing Red Cross systems.

The American Red Cross is set to integrate Panini scanners with their RDC initiative. The Panini Vision X, is used in their back offices to electronically capture cheque donations. The Panini wI:Deal was selected to process documents, such as gift letters, payment coupons and cheque donations.

FTNI’s ETran software provides a single donation gateway to process card, cheque, ACH and cash donations. The software was integrated with Red Cross back office applications including finance, accounting and donor databases.
