American Express and Aeroplan Launch New Corporate Card

Amex Bank of Canada and Aeroplan have launched Canadas first Corporate Card that rewards companies and their employees for virtually all their business spending. The new American Express AeroplanPlus Corporate Card is designed to give small and medium sized companies annual cash rebates and travel benefits from partners like Air Canada as well as offer individual employees the opportunity to collect Aeroplan Miles. With the Card, eligible companies can receive an annual Air Canada Cash Rebate between 2% to 4% when their employees use their Card for Air Canada travel purchases. They can also get up to 5% cash back each year on travel and everyday business expenses purchased on the Card with a number of partners like Budget, Conference Plus, Corporate Express, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Marriott Hotels of Canada, and Park N Fly, to name a few. Companies are also able to give their employees the opportunity to earn Aeroplan Rewards. Employees can receive 1 Aeroplan Mile for virtually every $2 of purchases charged to their American Express AeroplanPlus Corporate Card. They also have the option to earn Aeroplan Miles twice as fast by enrolling in an upgrade program for an additional fee per year which means Cardmembers can earn 1 Aeroplan Mile for virtually every $1 of purchases charged to their Card. In addition to the Air Canada cash rebate and the opportunity for employees to earn Aeroplan Miles, the Card also offers several other travel benefits and cost-saving features: - Lounge Privileges - Companies can receive two complimentary Air Canada Maple Leaf Club membership subscriptions for the year when they initially sign up for the new Card. - Increased Control - Leading-edge management controls give companies the ability to put purchasing parameters on where and how much their employees can spend. - Streamlined Expense Reporting - Online expense management reports that can help companies realize thousands of dollars in cost savings by simplifying the employee expense reporting and approvals process, reducing unnecessary paperwork and enforcing travel and purchasing compliance. Other standard features and benefits include: Worldwide Service and Support which provides assistance 24-hours a day, anywhere in the world; Travel Accident Insurance, Complimentary Car Rental Theft and Damage Insurance on eligible vehicle rentals; Express Cash for emergencies when traveling; Front Of The Line entertainment which gives preferential access to concerts and sports events; and Online Account Access to manage accounts via the Internet.
