Under the terms of the agreement, Amdocs and IBM plan to provide telecommunications companies with joint solutions and a range of managed services options based on IBM services expertise, including business process transformation order management, IT management, and additional business process support, as required. The agreement also enables the companies to jointly pursue sales opportunities, expand their product and services offerings, and share technical expertise. SFR, a large telecommunications provider in France, is one of the first joint customers of Amdocs and IBM, having recently chosen Amdocs solutions on IBM platforms. Amdocs’ integrated suite of billing and partner relationship management (PRM) products will enable SFR to significantly improve operational efficiencies and lower costs, while reducing time-to-market of new, innovative services. In addition, the Amdocs PRM solution facilitates management of content and commerce partners, providing SFR a key tool for revenue creation in the emerging next generation value chain. Amdocs also announced that Amdocs Enabler 5 and extended billing components, including Customer management, Service management, Resource management, Provisioning, Accounts Receivables and Collections, and Amdocs PRM 5 are now generally available on the IBM eServer pSeries running the AIX 5L operating system. Amdocs also plans to support future versions of the AIX 5L operating system with new releases of these products. In addition, Amdocs announced that it has expanded its joint solutions offerings with IBM by porting Amdocs ClarifyCRM 12 to pSeries AIX 5L and UDB V.8, with the intention of supporting future releases of the operating system.
