Zappos.com selects PayPal for online payments

Online retailer Zappos.com adds PayPal as a payment option for customers interested in making online purchases on its website.

As a result of this initiative, Zappos.com customers can pay for the products they want to buy on the internet using stored balances, credit cards, debit cards and bank accounts via their individual PayPal accounts without revealing any financial information. Zappos.com offers over 4 million shoes, handbags, apparel items and accessories from more than 1,100 brands. The retailers gross merchandise sales reached over USD 800 million in 2007. PayPal has grown to almost 165 million account members worldwide and is available in more than 190 countries. Currently, five to ten percent of all e-commerce payments are made using PayPal.
