Visa has partnered with i2c, a US-based provider of payments processing, to offer credit cards issuers in the i2c network the option to introduce instalments at online checkout.

Visa Instalments is a payment technology created by Visa that enables issuers to offer instalment plans for their cardholders under their existing credit account lines, and for participating merchants to display the instalment plans to eligible cardholders.

i2c, a provider of payments processing technology and digital banking solutions, has announced they are working with Visa to launch point of sale instalments capabilities for their participating issuers in North America. BNPL instalments are growing twice as fast as credit cards, and according to CB Insights, volume is slated to reach USD 1 trillion by 2025 – a 1000% increase from today.
