Veco partners Bank of the Philippine Islands for online transactions

Visayan Electric Company (Veco) and financial institution Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) have signed a memorandum of agreement.

Under the terms of the deal, BPI will make BPI Express Online available as a payment channel for areas covered by the power company. According to BPI vice president and transaction banking division head Bess Basa, cited by online media outlet Sunstar, the agreement only covers online transactions and the bank will not be able to accommodate over the counter Veco transactions.
