The Universal Air Travel Plan (UATP) payment network has entered into an agreement with UK voucher-based prepaid online payments provider Ukash to allow the formers customers to make online payments for flights via the Ukash system.

The Ukash payment services are aimed at consumers who do not have a credit card or are not willing to use it online for payments due to online fraud and identity theft-related fears. After exchanging cash for an Ukash voucher, the customer can spend the value online at merchants displaying the Ukash payment brand. Every Ukash electronic voucher contains a unique 19-digit code.

Universal Air Travel Plan (UATP) is a payment network owned by the worlds airlines. UATP accounts are accepted as a payment option for corporate business travel by airlines and travel agencies. UATP cards are issued by airlines directly to their corporate customers and they are accepted by over 200 carriers around the world as a form of payment for the purchase of air and rail tickets. UATP has been created for corporations and can be used by individual business travellers, corporate travel departments and travel agents.

Ukash is available at 275,000 locations in Europe and South Africa and also via Vodafone mobiles in the UK.
