Thai payment platform Omise to expand to Malaysia

Thailand-located payment platform Omise has launched its operations in Malaysia in late 2021, as part of its expansion strategy throughout Southeast Asia region.

The company initiated business in 2013 in Southeast Asia and offers third parties an end-to-end infrastructure to process and handle online payments in-app and in-store. Omise offers access to several payment tools, risk management solutions, and integration to both card networks and consumer-preferred payment methods.

It is regulated by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and aims to offer its secured services across Thailand, Japan, Singapore, and now Malaysia.

Omise will support receiving FPX payments through 19 partner banks to expand its digital payment ecosystem and provide revenue generation for its clients by leveraging this technology.
