Netherlands-based payment services provider GlobalCollect has entered an agreement with Jordan-based airline company Royal Jordanian (RJ) to process the latter’s online credit card payments.

Under the terms of the deal, GlobalCollect will process RJ’s online credit card payments, accommodating over 25 currencies across the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, Asia and North America. Additionally, GlobalCollect will enable RJ passengers to buy tickets via the RJ call centre by offering their credit card information to the RJ agents.

GlobalCollect also provides RJ with services such as advice on payments by airline consultants, online and call centre customer support and fraud screening.

Via the GlobalCollect’s Hosted MerchantLink service, RJ is able to develop its online check-out section while meeting the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) requirements regarding processing and storing sensitive data.

Following a future expansion of the partnership, alternative payment methods will be added including banking, cash and bank transfers aimed at customer segments preferring non-card payments.
