PokerStars to accept payments via Ukash

Friday 28 August 2009 09:24 CET | News

The PokerStars website has teamed up with UK voucher-based prepaid online payments provider Ukash to allow the formers visitors to make online payments for games via the Ukash system, thus using cash instead of credit and debit cards.

The Ukash payment services are aimed at consumers who do not have a credit card or are not willing to use it online for payments due to online fraud and identity theft-related fears. After exchanging cash for an Ukash voucher, the customer can spend the value online at merchants displaying the Ukash payment brand. Every Ukash electronic voucher contains a unique 19-digit code.

Most recently, Ukash has extended the availability of Ukash virtual cash to retail outlets in Poland, as a result of a partnership closed with epay, the prepaid division of US electronic payment services provider Euronet Worldwide.
