Plimus adds Moneybookers to e-commerce platform

Tuesday 5 October 2010 11:51 CET | News

US e-business services provider Plimus has entered a partnership with European online payment services provider Moneybookers.

Under the terms of the deal, Plimus merchants will offer their customers the possibility to purchase digital items and services via Moneybookers. In order to use the service, shoppers must enter details of the relevant email and password associated with their Moneybookers account, and then proceed directly to make payments via their account. Details resulting from transactions will appear in the shopper’s Moneybookers account and will be reported to the seller through the Plimus e-commerce application.

Most recently, PrestaShop, a developer of e-commerce free software, has integrated the Moneybookers online payment system into the final 1.3 version of its e-commerce Open-Source software to allow merchants to receive payments in 42 different currencies via a fully integrated international banking network with PCI standards.

Founded in 2001, Moneybookers provides over 60,000 merchants with 80 payment options in over 200 countries. eBay.com, Skype and Thomas Cook are some of its global partners.
