PlaySpan rolls out Monetization-as-a-Service platform

PlaySpan, a US-based provider of monetization services for online games, virtual worlds and social networks, has launched the Monetization-as-a-Service platform.

PlaySpan’s UltimatePay powered MaaS platform combines a global payment gateway with over 85 payment options with micropayments, subscription and e-commerce capabilities, an analytics dashboard and fraud management tools, all integrated into a PCI and SAS-70 compliant hosted service. The service is now available to PlaySpan customers and more than 100 customers have signed up within the last two weeks of closed beta.

PlaySpan’s Monetization-as-a-Service with its global payments product, UltimatePay delivers over 85 global payment methods in 180 countries including credit cards, PayPal, mobile payments and PlaySpan’s Ultimate Game Card, a multi-game pre-paid card, available in over 50,000 retail locations worldwide.

The company has recently received PCI-DSS certification for UltimatePay, its MaaS (Monetization-as-a-Service) platform. The company’s UltimatePay product has also achieved SAS 70 (Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70), an auditing standards for service companies.
