PayPal launches the PayPal kit for non-profits

Wednesday 30 January 2008 06:22 CET | News

PayPal launches the PayPal kit for Non-Profits which is addressed to a variety of organisations that accept donations online. Organisations have to sign up for a PayPal business account in order to use the service. The kit is just one of several custom kits that will be developed by PayPal.

Developer at PayPal Glenn Lim says the PayPal donate button and step-by-step instructions allow nearly any organisation to enable their websites to accept donations. Donors without a PayPal account can donate by creating an account or by paying using their credit card on the PayPal website. Organisations will not receive the donor’s financial details, such as credit card number. PayPal reports that is making a USD 50 donation to the first 1.000 non-profit subscribers.
