PayPal appoints Farhad Irani as manager, Asia Pacific

PayPal has added Farhad Irani to the companys team, as manager of the companys business in the Asia Pacific region.

In his new position, he will be responsible for the management of PayPals domestic and cross-border business in Asia Pacific and he will report to Philipp Justus, the senior vice president of Global Markets division. Before joining PayPal, Farhad Irani served as global head of credit cards and personal loans at Standard Chartered in Singapore. His professional background includes over 25 years of experience in credit cards and retail banking industry.

The number of PayPal accounts in the region has reached 12 million. The company provides users with services in five Asian languages including Indonesia Bahasa, Japanese, Thai, as well as simplified and traditional Chinese and supports payments from 190 markets in nineteen currencies, including SGD, HKD, JPY, CNY, NZD and AUD.
