Ukash, the UK voucher-based prepaid online payment services provider, has expanded its online footprint on the Latin American market by closing deals with MIT (Mercadotecnia, Ideas y Tecnología) and Citadel.

Under the terms of the agreement with MIT, Ukash vouchers are issued at POS from nearly 400 convenience stores that provide mobile airtime and other payment services via the Compra y Paga brand. The consumer pays the amount of the denomination and receives a unique 19-digit code which can be used for payments online. Ukash vouchers are available in denominations of 200 and 500 Mexican Peso.

Consumers can also visit the Citadel payment page and select a voucher from 150 to 1,500 Mexican Peso. Consumers can use their online banking service from the Mexican banks and receive their voucher via email.

The Ukash vouchers, which can be used for purchases on social networks, virtual worlds and online games, are available through payment terminals in retail outlets across Europe, South Africa and Australia and are also issued online from the company’s website in selected European territories.
