As part of the agreement, the two companies will join forces to launch credit cards with top worldwide issuers on Zeta’s cloud-native, API-ready platform. Moreover, Mastercard invested in Zeta for an undisclosed amount.
On the other hand, Zeta will leverage Mastercard’s global network and reputation, as well as its capabilities in digital issuance, loyalty programmes, fraud and risk management, and others. The strategic partnership aims to help issuers launch cards faster and make them flexible and customisable.
Zeta offers full banking and financial services, including issuance, payments, BNPL loans, loyalty programmes, and fraud and risk management.
The collaboration between the two companies started in 2018, when Zeta became a part of Mastercard’s global startup engagement programme. The Indian fintech recently joined Mastercard’s Developers Partner Network, Engage, which will allow it to access a global network to pre-integrate and bundle financial products and services.
