JCB implements RSA FraudAction service for protection against online fraud

Japanese credit card company JCB has closed a deal with US security services provider EMC to gain access to the latters RSA FraudAction service to fight online fraud and phishing attacks.

RSA FraudAction provides protection against threats which target financial institutions and their customers, such as phishing, pharming and Trojan attacks or false websites and emails meant to persuade customers into revealing passwords, account numbers and other private information. The service is supported by the RSA Anti-Fraud Command Center, a team of fraud analysts in the industry whose work focuses on shutting down phishing sites, deploying countermeasures and preventing future attacks.

JCB provides credit cards for its 60.2 million cardmembers which are accepted by 12.76 million merchant outlets and over 1 million locations in 190 countries.
