Facebook integrates ad offers from Peanut Labs, TrialPay into Facebook Credits

Friday 16 April 2010 09:58 CET | News

Facebook has partnered two offer providers, namely Peanut Labs and TrialPay, as part of its strategy to extend its payment methods for Facebook Credits, a form of currency which can be used anywhere on the social networking site, according to insidefacebook.com.

Users can now earn Credits without having to pay directly and use them to buy virtual items or game points on Facebook. For now, users can accept Peanut Labs or TrialPay offers for Facebook Credits in social games published by the developers RockYou, Crowdstar, and Playdom. Such offers, which will be made available globally, are “simply online ads, usually drawn from ad networks elsewhere on the web, that let users buy subscriptions and goods, complete surveys, or take other actions in exchange for virtual currency”, the same source reports.

In February 2010, Facebook closed a deal with PayPal to allow its users and advertisers to pay for virtual goods and ads via PayPal.
