Thursday 10 May 2012 15:39 CET | News

Ogone, a European online payment processing services provider, has partnered with MasterCard to offer PayPass Wallet, a new global solution for banks, merchants and partners.

Under the terms of the deal, e-retailers using the Ogone platform will be able to offer their customers this service allowing consumers to store payment and shipping information in one place. The wallet is open, which means that consumers can use American Express, Discover, Visa and other branded credit, debit and prepaid cards.

Launched in May 2012, PayPass Wallet enables consumers to make purchases in stores or online by allowing them to pay with a simple click of the mouse, touch of the tablet screen or tap of the smartphone.
MasterCard is set to make PayPass Wallet Services available to partners in Q3 2012 initially in the US, Canada, UK and Australia. The integration of PayPass Wallet to the Ogone system is expected to be completed in one of the forthcoming quarterly Ogone platform update releases.
