EduTone acquires K12complete, launches EdPay

EduTone, a subsidiary of VIP Tone, has acquired K12complete, an e-commerce services provider to public and private schools, which will be merged into EdPay, a newly formed subsidiary of EduTone.

The EdPay service will enable EduTones customers to carry out online payment processing and fund raising activities and to offer a broad range of school-related products and services to local communities. EduTone will integrate K12completes online school storefronts with its EduTone Xchange Platform. The EduTone Xchange is a Web 3.0 Platform-as-a-Service technology that enables one-to-one services delivery in the education enterprise.

In July 2011, EduTone has acquired Global Grid for Learning from Cambridge University Press which has become the companys digital content marketplace for education.
