eBillme provides payment services for Amazon.com Gift Card buyers

Online payments services provider eBillme has signed an agreement with ACI Gift Cards, an issuer of Amazon.com Gift Cards, to provide consumers with a cash payment option for purchasing Amazon.com Gift Cards through their online banking or bill payment provider.

According to the deal, consumers will be able to buy virtual gift cards ranging from USD 5 to USD 5,000 from eBillme directly or by accessing eBillme site from Amazon.com. To be able to purchase the gift cards, users need to select the desired gift card amount and enter their e-mail address. A bill is sent to the customer via e-mail and can be paid using the bill payment service offered via the eBillme network. Once the payment is received by eBillme, the virtual Amazon.com Gift Card is sent to the purchaser via e-mail immediately. In addition, customers can choose to take the printed bill to one of over 75,000 walk-in locations, where the Amazon Gift Card claim code will be printed on the customer receipt after payment is made.

Over 800 stores currently accept eBillme, allowing shoppers to buy online and pay through their own banks online bill pay system. Sears, Kmart, Buy.com, ShoeBuy.com are some of the merchants who accept payments via eBillme.
