CardinalCommerce selects Alipay as online payment service

US alternative payments services provider CardinalCommerce has teamed up with Chinese online payment services provider Alipay to add the latter’s online payment service to its Cardinal Centinel e-commerce platform.

As part of the deal, CardinalCommerce customers will gain access to Chinese shoppers who make online purchases via Cardinal Centinel. Through Centinel technology, are able to carry out multiple authenticated and alternative payment brands, including Verified by Visa, MasterCard SecureCode, Amazon Payments, Bill2Phone, Bill Me Later, ClickandBuy, Cred-Ex, Ebates, eBillme, eLayaway, Google Checkout, Green Dot MoneyPak, Mazooma, Moneybookers, MyECheck, NACHA Secure Vault Payments (SVP), NYCE SafeDebit, OneTouch Online Purchasing, Paymate, PayPal, paysafecard, RevolutionCard, Rialto Pay, SafetyPay, TeleCheck and Ukash.

In recent news, Alipay has rolled out an openID like service to provide customers with the ability to login to ready e-commerce websites using their Alipay account, without the need of registering.
