CardinalCommerce adds Amazon Payments to Cardinal Centinel

Friday 8 August 2008 14:30 CET | News

Authenticated payments and secure transactions provider CardinalCommerce has added Amazon Payments to its Cardinal Centinel Universal Merchant Platform, thus allowing its merchant customers access to payment solutions provided by Amazon such as Amazon Simple Pay and Checkout by Amazon for their online transactions.

Amazon Payments is a payment and checkout solution which allows online shoppers to make online purchases using the shipping address or payment information already stored in their Amazon account. It also provides merchants with the opportunity to employ business management tools to handle sales tax and shipping charges and such features as co-branded payment pages. All acquisitions processed through Checkout by Amazon will enjoy all the benefits of the Amazon A-to-z guarantee, just like purchases processed directly via Amazon.com. Cardinal Centinel’s Universal Merchant Platform already enables payment solutions from brands such as Google Checkout, PayPal, eBillme, Bill Me Later, Verified by Visa, MasterCard SecureCode and Ukash. It sees the addition of Amazon Payments as a welcome addition to its payment solutions and a means to improve its volume of transactions with merchants and merchant service providers at global level.
