Braintree brings its payment platform to Mojang, handles USD 10bln in payments

US-based online payment processing services developer Braintree has entered an agreement with Sweden-based games developer Mojang.

Mojang joins a growing list of international companies, such as AVG Technologies, The Economist and Rovio/Angry Birds, using Braintree as their payment platform.

The company has also unveiled that it is currently handling USD 10 billion in payments annually, with more than 25 percent originating outside of the US. Braintree enables online businesses to process credit card payments by providing a merchant account, payment gateway, recurring billing and credit card storage.

In recent news, Braintree has appointed Rob von Behren as lead engineer for its San Francisco office.
