Alipay partners Trustwave for PCI DSS compliance validation services

Tuesday 28 July 2009 07:38 CET | News

US compliance management services developer Trustwave has won a contract from Chinas online payment services provider Alipay to deliver Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliance validation services.

Under the terms of the agreement, Alipay is to make use of Trustwaves TrustKeeper application to access the automated tools to support on-going compliance, including quarterly network vulnerability scans. TrustKeeper is a web-based compliance management tool used for compliance validation with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). The standard helps organisations which process card payments prevent credit card fraud via controls around data and its exposure to compromise. Trustwave will also perform a penetration test to track any network vulnerabilities and security flaws that could lead to malicious attacks.

Alipay has reached the 200 million user milestone and expects to register higher total transaction volumes than PayPal within the next three years.
