Adyen opens new office in Latin America

Adyen, the provider of global internet payment and e-commerce services, has opened a new Latin America office in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The company’s expansion to Latin America is determined by the large customer and partner network which will support the move.

The newly set up office will be led by Jean Christian Mies, who joins from Formel D do Brasil, the service provider for the automobile and supplier industry, where he has been responsible for heading up commercial operations.

Adyen has worked to develop a local offering with direct connections into multiple acquiring banks in the region, including Cielo, an electronic payment services provider in Latin America, and Redecard, the Brazilian multi-brand acquirer, to ensure that these issues have been addressed. Moreover, Adyen has established connections with partners in Peru, Argentina and Chile.

In recent news, Adyen has teamed up with cashU, the prepaid online payment gateway, to expand its presence in the Middle East and North Africa.

Adyen provides global internet payment and e-commerce services for mid, large and enterprise e-commerce merchants. Adyen’s Internet Payment Solution enables merchant to increase online conversion by optimizing the online payment process.
