ACI Worldwide , a US application software developer for electronic payments, has won a contract from a new customer to deliver BASE24-eps software for online payments processing.

The name of the new client has not been revealed, but the company mentions in a press release that this is its 40th customer to go live on BASE24-eps. Part of ACIs BASE24 product range, BASE24-eps is an integrated payment engine to acquire, switch and authorise financial transactions across multiple channels. The product offers functionality to support payment transactions including branch transactions, debit and credit at the ATM and POS, as well as the online and mobile commerce transactions.

Five UK banks involved in the Faster Payments project, an European retailer for acquiring, switching and authorisation, ING and WMATA (Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority) and South African financial services provider Absa are among the 39 ACI clients who have already selected BASE24-eps. BASE24-eps is compatible with IBM System z and System p, HP NonStop and Sun platforms.
