The initiative follows the partnership the company has closed with Canadian Peoples Trust Bank under the terms of which the latter is to act as the Canadian banking partner of 3V Transaction Services. Ventek Systems, a company which engages in the resale and distribution of prepaid telecommunication products in Canada, will be the distribution partner for the Canadian 3V product platform and will collaborate with Peoples Card Services, a subsidiary of Peoples Trust Bank to roll out an instant access version of 3Vs pay-as-you-go VISA voucher product platform on the Canadian market in 2010.
The 3V Voucher is an online payment method allowing customers to purchase a voucher which has a 16-digit VISA number through a network of retailers. The value purchased can then be spent in an online transaction.
With over 400,000 customers, 3V operates in the Republic of Ireland and the UK. In the UK, the company has also developed and operates the online gift card business for eBay, Paypal, Bebo and Habbo.
