Western Union offers Absa online banking based cross-border money transfer services

Absa, a South African financial services provider, and global payments services provider Western Union have rolled out an additional service offering to Absa account holders.

The application is set to enable Absa members to gain access to the Western Union Money Transfer service in order to send or receive cross-border money transfers via mobile phone or internet banking. The service has been made available to Absa accountholders who are registered for internet banking or individual mobile phone banking, in compliance with the regulatory framework of South Africa.

Absa, a subsidiary of Absa Group, is a South African financial services provider that offers a range of banking, assurance and wealth-management products and services.
