U.S. Bank and Cyota to Boost Internet Banking Adoption

U.S. Bank will leverage its existing Verified by Visa system, supported by Cyota, in order to boost enrollment to its Internet Banking service.

Following several enhancements announced recently by U.S. Bank, the integration with Verified by Visa is part of the banks ongoing investment in its Internet Banking site and online services. Following the integration, cardholders who sign up for U.S. Banks Verified by Visa program can subsequently be prompted by an email from the bank to activate U.S. Banks Internet Banking service via a shortened activation process using the same user name and password, thus leveraging Verified by Visa adoption for other online applications provided by the bank. The integration of the systems creates an extremely user-friendly experience, while not interrupting the cardholders shopping experience. Cyotas Online Services Adoption Booster was developed as an add-on to its SecureSuite platform; U.S. Bank is the first bank in the United States to implement such a system. As online banking services increasingly become more popular among users, banks continue to search for ways to provide additional convenience to the customers online experience. By integrating its Internet Banking service with Verified by Visa, and leveraging the quality customer experience and protection benefits of Verified by Visa, U.S. Bank can increase its Internet Banking population in a simple, speedy manner. In terms of user experience, following an enrollment to Verified by Visa, U.S. Bank sends an email to each new Verified by Visa participant thanking them for joining the service and prompting them to click on a link and activate the Internet Banking service as well. Cardholders can then click on the link and activate their Internet Banking service via an expedited enrollment process using the same Personal ID and Password they selected for Verified by Visa. In addition, existing U.S. Bank Internet Banking customers are prompted to activate Verified by Visa using their existing Internet Banking Personal ID and Password through a single-sign-on approach, with no need to remember two sets of information.
