Temenos acquires FE-Mobile to gain ground on the online banking-based mobile market

Integrated core banking systems provider Temenos has acquired FE-Mobile, a UK-based provider of software services for the mobile banking industry.

The new acquiring agreement is set to enable Temenos to expand its business on the mobile banking market by offering the FE-Mobile service to its bank customers. Marketed under the brand name of SecureLink, the service operates across three mobile channels providing a downloadable application, XHTML browser and SMS. The product can replicate a banks’ existing functionality while giving access to a platform for development.

According to ABI Research, the number of persons that access online banking services via mobile continues to increase with about 407 million people worldwide expected to perform their financial transactions via mobile phones in 2015.
