Swedbank opts for Temenos T24 for operations in Finland

Tuesday 5 February 2008 02:06 CET | News

Swedbank selects integrated core banking systems Temenos to support its Finnish corporate banking operations and internet banking capabilities. Swedbank signed the agreement with Temenos in September 2007; however, the project is scheduled to go live by Q3 2008. Consequently, T24 will substitute the banks in-house system that has been used for two years.

The bank has chosen the T24 Model Bank, with pre-configured products and processes that ensure a quick, low-risk migration. Swedbank has also opted for corporate banking modules including loans, cash management and financial calculations.Temenos T24 is a scalable, integrated, modular banking system, built on open service oriented architecture, and using technology standards such as Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) web services, XML and a stateless browser front end. It is boasted as “the only system available with no end-of-day batch processing”, which consequently can provide real-time 24/7 non-stop banking.
