Public Savings Bank joins SWIFT, enhances online banking portal

US financial services provider Public Savings Bank has joined the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT), the Belgium-based financial messaging network operator which allows banks and other institutions to connect and exchange financial information.

As a member of SWIFT, Public Savings Bank is set to provide its customers with the ability to carry out foreign wire transactions to over 8,800 banks in over 200 countries. The new technology platform allows an extended time window to wire funds to both domestic and foreign recipients. Additionally, the bank’s online banking portal has been made available in Spanish.

In addition to global wire transfer services, Public Savings Bank also provides commercial banking, small business lending and secured credit cards.
