OneVu to launch top-up service aimed at UK online banking users

Tuesday 2 December 2008 00:04 CET | News

UK consolidated bill management service OneVu reports it is in the final stages of developing a mobile telephone top-up facility targeted specifically at online banking users.

The new integrated service is to provide consumers with a means to top up their mobile phones via the interface of their existing online banking accounts. Customers who opt for the new service have access to stored transaction records which can be categorised according to the amount paid, the time when the top-up payments were made or the name of the person who received the funds.

OneVu is currently in talks with online banking and mobile operators in the UK, aiming to make the service available to customers at the beginning of Q2 2009. Company representatives state that the new online banking top up service aims to allow mobile phone operators to cut back on their costs of sale incurred due to the high number of top ups performed via retail channels.

OneVu currently provides an online bill management service branded Bill Manager for Lloyds TSB customers and Bill management for customers who choose to pay their bills via their RBS and NatWest online banking accounts. OneVu offers consumers an integrated view of all their bills and statements available via the interface of their online banking service provider.
