National Citys Web site has received top rankings from two national leading firms, based onquality and variety of online offerings and ease of use of the Web site.NationalCity.com was recognized as the number one bank Web site for growing small businesses and one of the best small business banking Web sites in the country, according to Gomez, Inc., the research firm that evaluates online banking services. NationalCity.com was named the easiest to use online banking site by the research firm Change Sciences Group, Inc. National City continues to differentiate itself with a plethora of useful self-service features for small business customers. These features include the ability to change an address, request a new Visa CheckCard and stop payment on a single check or a series of checks. National City received praise for its "Super User" feature, which permits multiple users to view the same account with different levels of functionality. In a competitive industry comparison, Change Sciences Group reviewed the top ten personal online banking sites and ranked National City as the #1 online banking Web site overall, citing its superior ease of use and exceptional interface design. The firm opened basic checking accounts at each bank and then evaluated each site for ease of use, including logging in to the site, checking recent transactions, adding a payee, making a one-time payment, making a recurring payment, checking on the status of a payment, and logging out. In its report, Change Sciences stated, "The focus of our work was to identify which online banking interfaces work best for the average consumer." National City represented the best offering of all those tested in ease of navigation, transaction access, guidance for online activities, and streamlining of the most frequent activities.
